The InsideCount collects information you provide when you create an account, choose newsletter preferences, submit a comment, contact us, or send work for consideration.

Information You Provide

This may include your name, email address, public display name, newsletter preferences, comments, messages, and links or details you include in a submission.

When you sign in with Google, we receive basic account information needed to identify you. Google sign-in does not give us access to your Gmail inbox.

How We Use Your Information

We use this information to manage reader accounts, moderate comments, respond to inquiries, review submissions, maintain newsletter preferences, and protect the site against misuse.

Newsletter participation is optional. Creating an account or submitting a message does not automatically subscribe you.

What Other Readers Can See

Approved comments appear publicly with your chosen display name. Your account email address and private contact submissions are not displayed publicly.

Writing pitches and artwork submissions are reviewed privately. Sending work for consideration does not automatically make it public.

Services We Use

Supabase provides account authentication and database storage. Google provides an optional sign-in method. Stripe processes support payments; payment card details are entered through Stripe rather than our contact or account forms.

External images and other remotely hosted content may cause your browser to connect to their providers. Those providers may receive technical information such as your IP address. Links to other websites are subject to those websites’ privacy practices.

Browser Storage

The site uses browser storage to maintain your sign-in session. Clearing that storage may sign you out.

Your Choices

You can change your newsletter preference through the subscription page. When newsletter delivery begins, each newsletter will include an unsubscribe option.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with you, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Retention

We retain information as needed to operate accounts, handle submissions, maintain moderation records, and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. Some records may need to remain after a deletion request to address payment obligations, security incidents, or disputes.
